Stoneleigh Park the home of rural excellence
The Royal Agricultural Society of England is a national resource
that acts for the benefit of rural areas. Its role here is to host
partnerships capable of transforming the future of food, farming
and the countryside in Britain.
This initiative will act as a catalyst for the development of a
sustainable rural landscape.
The RASE’s vision to establish Stoneleigh Park as a national centre of rural excellence is fast building recognition as a nationally important project.
The concept is to create a central hub to gather knowledge and
communicate information, initiatives and best practice.
The plans include the creation of a Home of the British Horse, a business and innovation park, and facilities for the general public to learn about and enjoy food, farming and the countryside.
The development will provide a new and powerful resource, driving innovation and initiative across all rural sectors, encouraging closer collaboration between sectors and promoting new practices, technologies and business.
Stoneleigh is already a favourite countryside setting for our famous events, like the Royal Show and the Town & Country Festival. The development will provide opportunities for a wide range of countryside events all year round.
The RASE has developed these plans with help from a high level Steering Committee, which includes the Government Office of the West Midlands, Advantage West Midlands, Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire District Council, Coventry City Council, and the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Partnership; as well as a consultation programme with local residents.
